Error Code F dH
Defrosting failure - defrost heater error
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
How to Fix
- 1
Check door gasket for damage. If damaged: replace door gasket.
- 2
Enter Test Mode 3 (push test button 3 times). Measure heater voltage at CON9 pins 5th~13th. Should be 112~116V.
- 3
If heater voltage is correct (112~116V): check defrost control part (Fuse-M and heater resistance).
- 4
Check Fuse-M resistance at CON9 pins 5th~13th. Should be 42~50 Ohm. If out of range: replace Fuse-M/defrost control assembly.
- 5
Check defrost sensor resistance at CON8 26th~25th pins vs. temperature table. Sensor at 23°F/-5°C = 38k Ohm, at 32°F/0°C = 30k Ohm, at 41°F/5°C = 24k Ohm, at 50°F/10°C = 19.5k, at 59°F/15°C = 16k.
- 6
If defrost sensor is open (infinite at room temp) or above 22kOhm when should be lower: replace defrost sensor.
- 7
Enter Test Mode 1 (push test button 1 time). Measure heater voltage at CON9 5th~13th pin. Should be 0V.
- 8
If voltage in Test Mode 1 is not 0V: replace Main PCB.
- 9
If all components check out but defrost still fails: explain to customer (check for blocked drain tube).
